Academic Renewal is an option for students who struggled academically and, after returning to an institution following a period of absence, request to start a new grade point average. The previous Academic Renewal policy and procedure was ambiguous, as interpretation varied broadly across USG institutions, and was unnecessarily cumbersome to navigate.
