EGSC Faculty have implemented High Impacts Practices (HIPs) activities in their classroom for several years. However, there is no process to report these activities, and their assessment plan and results.

Incorporate the use of StudentLingo as a course supplement/academic resource.

Determine observational, emotional, and cognitive engagement in and out of the classroom

CSU plans to promote High Impact Practices by making them a structural part of every four-year program. The goal is for each student to have at least three HIPs before graduating with a four-year degree.

Develop and strengthen strategies that address institutional performance gaps. Strategies to consider include: the creation of 1^st Gen/Pell Eligible student transition support; summer bridge programs that support traditionally underserved or underrepresented populations, with the goal of reducing institutional performance gaps.

The College will create a roadmap to guide students on all the steps they need to take and the information they need to learn after they are admitted to the College, to ensure a successful start of their college career at Coastal.

The AU High Impact Practices (HIP) Implementation Team participates in the USG process to support the statewide HIP goals as a critical element of our Momentum Approach.  

Goal: Foster stronger alignment with UWG’s Quality Enhancement Plan by increasing collaboration between career services and academic programs.

Goal: Increase retention in the second to third year through targeted campus engagement.
